Love God, Love People.  It’s that easy.  We were createdto reach the world through practical acts of love and service.  eMerge is an opportunity for us to emerge from out lives that focus inward and affect the world around us in a way that points to Jesus.  HPNY is dedicated to provided simple practical mission opportunities for our students on a consistent basis.

We all want to make a difference, right?  It's so easy to get caught up in the routine of life, & sometimes we forget there are huge needs right in our backyards.  I am passionate about HPNY jumping in with both feet to serve in our community!  I want us to know the needs of our community and be known in our community for helping to assist with some of those needs.


When you learn to serve others, you become empowered. You begin to realize you CAN make a difference in the world. You will soon be the leaders in our society! Making the world a better place starts by you impacting the future through volunteering.


Starting in September, First Saturdays is going to be reaching into the Lakeland community in various ways:  Boys & Girls Clubs, Junior Red Cross, Ronald McDonald House 'pop tab' collection, Habitat for Humanity, Lighthouse MInistries & Mission Possible.  I am looking forward to serving with you...and to making a difference in our community & in our own lives.

The Next First Saturday is June 5th!  We will be feeding the homeless down at Mission Possible again!  This is truly one of the most rewarding things that we do all year long and we want to continue through the summer!


When:  Saturday June 5th.  Meet at the FMB at 9:00...or meet us at the school at 9:30.

What:  Prepping meals, feeding the homeless, developing relationships with those that are less-fortunate.

We will get together  on the 1st Saturday of every month to go out and participate in a missional service project designed to bless the community around us!  We will meet at the church and then head out to whichever ministry we will be serving with.  Check the schedule below to see when the next opportunity is and how to participate:

  1. 1. Sign up to participate on Wednesday Nights or email Matt Fry.

  2. 2. Make sure to download a medicalrelease.doc form and get it notarized. If you have already filled one out this year, do not worry about it!

3.  Show up at the FMB on Saturday Morning at 9 am!
